Pretty sure you have heard about people taking cold showers to jump-start their body when they wake up or feel drowsy, but is that the only thing it does?
Cold showers have long been known to have a lot of health benefits and a study published in 2007 called āAdapted cold shower as a potential treatment for depressionā tells that a cold shower maybe even more effective than antidepressants.
I wish it was true but it isnāt, I still get depressed š even after a nice cold shower that makes me up for the upcoming day.
What I personally think a cold shower helps is to get out of my comfort zone. Right after I wake up, I always think a nice warm shower is going to feel amazing but thatās me telling myself that it's my comfort bubble and I should stay in it.
If I take the courage and turn the nob warm to cold, it takes me out of my comfort zone and allows me to face the harsh truth which is, after a cold shock of getting out of your comfort zone, you end up getting amazing benefits which you wouldnāt have gotten if you didn't take the leap of faith!
From my perspective, this is an amazing way to realize that, there are many opportunities out there but you just have to get out of your bubble.

A cold shower makes the skin look healthier because they tighten up your pores and prevents them from getting dirt in them. A great example of this is that when people go to the sauna to open the pores and then wash the dirt away with a nice cold shower.

You see a lot of athletics take a cold shower or an ice bath right after they have done competitive sports or a heavy workout. The cold allows the muscle to relax and repair themselves.
